Operable Walls Systems

Operable Walls are precision-engineered, top-hung movable partition systems designed to provide flexible space division while maintaining high levels of acoustic performance. Each wall consists of individual panels that slide along a ceiling-mounted aluminium track, eliminating the need for intrusive floor tracks and preserving uninterrupted flooring.

 

The panels are constructed with a robust internal framework, often incorporating steel or aluminium, and are filled with high-density acoustic insulation capable of achieving sound reduction levels of up to Rw 58dB, depending on the specification. Panel thickness, core composition, and sealing mechanisms all contribute to the final acoustic rating.

Each panel is equipped with retractable top and bottom acoustic seals, either manually operated via an easy-to-use crank handle or semi-automated using an integrated electric mechanism. When deployed, these seals create a tight compression fit against the floor and soffit, enhancing both stability and acoustic isolation. Operable Wall systems can accommodate a wide range of stacking options—central, offset, or remote parking—allowing maximum space flexibility based on room configuration.

 

Finishes can be customised to suit interior aesthetics, with options including melamine, veneer, fabric, whiteboard, or even printed graphics for branding or decorative integration.
